Human capital analytics or talent analytics are generated by applying sophisticated data mining and data analysis techniques to talent data for the purpose of making good people management decisions. For decades, businesses have proclaimed their people are the company’s most valuable asset, yet there is a certain vagueness entering conversations when discussions turn to the best methods for determining that true value.

Full value measurements would recognize factors like people knowledge and capabilities as contributors to the bottom line. Without full value information, it is difficult to make informed decisions about current and future investments in talent management activities.
