Ask CEOs about the major issues facing Asian healthcare (includes pharmaceutical and medical devices) industry and there is a likelihood of hearing words like, “war for talent” and ‘high’ attrition rates.” As Western and European businesses continue expansion into the Asian markets, they need to understand the challenges related to finding and retaining talent in a developing labor market. The intense competition for talent in the Asian healthcare industry is creating high attrition rates and labor shortages. Successful businesses must develop strategies to attract the experienced talent that is highly sought after across geographies and to engage and retain the talent once hired.
