Lynette Collins Creates Productive Opportunities to Discuss D&I at Amway

Lynnette Collins is the Director, Culture, Diversity & Inclusion and Talent Acquisition at Amway and has been instrumental in developing a successful Diversity & Inclusion program. She first gained the strong commitment of senior leadership to D&I, and that commitment led to actions that foster an inclusive culture and interrupt diversity barriers, like unconscious bias, in the talent management practice. Impressive results include women making up almost half of top executives, up from 14 percent in four years.

Lynnette also developed the Real Talk series where tough and uncomfortable conversations are held about issues concerning employees' sense of belonging at Amway. This innovative group has tackled topics like bias relative to gender, race, ethnicity, and intersectionality and facilitates dialogue that leads to solutions. The conversations have enabled employees to become more effective workplace allies and the organization to shift to a more inclusive culture. To inspire others, Lynnette is willing to be vulnerable and take risks by modeling the behaviors other people are asked to demonstrate. She also mentors and sponsors diverse employees across the company.
