McDonald’s USA proudly announces the appointment of Pat Myers as the new Chief People Officer, effective May 19. Pat brings a wealth of experience and a clear vision for advancing McDonald’s U.S. People strategy. His leadership is set to strengthen the company’s commitment to building a people-centered culture across all levels.
With an impressive background at Medtronic, Target, Mars, and Kraft Heinz, Pat has consistently led complex people strategies, fostered inclusive, high-performing cultures, and driven meaningful change at scale. His ability to connect talent strategy with practical execution makes him exceptionally well-suited to guide McDonald’s USA into the future.

Pat will focus on transforming the employee experience across both restaurant and corporate environments, with an emphasis on hiring, retention, development, and engagement. His passion for people-first leadership and his values-driven approach align perfectly with McDonald’s mission to create a workplace grounded in care, opportunity, and belonging.
Pat holds bachelor’s degrees in healthcare administration and biology from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire. He currently resides in Minneapolis with his family and will be relocating to Chicago soon. Outside of work, he is an active community member, coaching youth sports and volunteering with local philanthropic organizations.
