Dawn Frazier-Bohnert Employs DEI Learning Experiences at Liberty Mutual Insurance

As the EVP, Global Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer, Liberty Mutual Insurance, Dawn Frazier-Bohnert leads the design, development, and implementation of the organization’s global DEI strategy and programs. As part of her work, she developed the “Inclusion in Action” series, a comprehensive e-learning experience that includes nine inclusive communication skills that teach employees how to connect authentically and honestly. The tools provide practical advice as well as touch on a range of actions from practice both/and thinking to “trying on” a different person’s perspective. Liberty has made the Inclusion in Action series commercially available to organizations to help build more inclusive workplaces, with all profits going to More Than Words, a Boston-based nonprofit. Last year they raised over $55,000.

Dawn also oversees programs that help put these inclusive communication skills into action. One program includes Eight Weeks of Action to Disrupt Racial Bias, featuring virtual sessions, resources and a discussion guide to help employees increase understanding across differences and create an inclusive environment for all.
