Alison Banks-Moore Builds Relationships at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of NJ

Alison Banks-Moore is Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer for Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey. Her efforts to strengthen the personal and professional relationships that support an inclusive and diverse workplace have resulted in the company receiving numerous awards from national publications and organizations including the National Organization on Disabilities, the Tri-State and National Diversity Councils, Seramount, LatinaStyle, as well as DiversityMBA. Alison has designed and managed a variety of diversity initiatives to make inclusion and diversity one of the hallmarks of Horizon’s approach to recruiting, training, engaging, and developing their workforce.

Alison builds relationships through participation in a number of diversity organizations. She is a member of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Diversity Alliance, the Northeast Regional Corporate Industry Liaison Group, and many more. She has received numerous awards, including the Ted Childs Life Work Excellence Award from Working Mother Media (2019), and the National Diversity Council’s Top 50 Chief Diversity Officers award (2020). In 2021, Alison was the recipient of the National Diversity Council’s Top 100 African American Leaders in Business & Racial Justice Champion Awards, among many other prestigious recognitions.
