GE’s Allison Pineau-Good Empowers DEI Through Healthy Debate


Allison Pineau-Good is the Chief Compliance Officer & Chief Diversity Officer for GE Steam Power in Paris, France. As the Compliance Officer, she is focused on preventing and pre-empting issues as well as responding quickly to mistakes. As the Chief Diversity Officer, she leads the creation and implementation of the inclusion and diversity program. A successful initiative is the wIDE (Inclusion, Diversity, & Equity) charter for a focused council representing regions and functions, empowering Employee Resource Groups, and moving forward with KPIs. Allison intentionally secures diverse panels for candidates and interviewers during hiring, issuing guidelines, and conducting audits. She developed Intentional Diversity guidelines for executive roles, ensuring there are always 2 qualified diverse candidates and eliminating reliance on “preferred candidates” through the utilization of the diverse panels.

Allison uses all opportunities to educate leaders and employees. She uses inclusion moments as a staff meeting agenda item, giving team members opportunities to share any topic, video, quote, and story, leaning in on newer grassroots Employee Resource Groups, such as the Green Team Network and Working Out Loud.
