Alvine Trémoulet Implements Regional Global Courageous conversations at Pfizer

When Pfizer’s CEO, launched in 2021 a ‘Global Conversation on Race’ after the Georges Flyd Murder, Alvine Trémoulet, Global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Lead, took the initiative by inspiring and encouraging in-country events to continue the conversation on bias at local level. This enabled colleagues to speak openly and courageously on this challenging and sensitive topic, to educate themselves and to learn from experts.

In France for example, Alvine influenced the creation of a first-time event featuring a historian and business psychologist who specialized in microaggression and immigration. This was followed by the creation of a dedicated group with a strategic plan to address the topic of ethnicity and diversity of origins in the French context.

Another example of a global DEI initiative that has empowered colleagues through Alvine’s leadership is through the Corporate Partnership with the Healthcare Businesswomen Association (HBA). Membership offers many benefits, like live and virtual programs and stretch volunteer leadership assignments. She leveraged that opportunity at the Global level. To strengthen the strategic thinking of ERG members, Alvine also created a Master Class called ‘Lead with Inclusion’ for global ERGs and Affinity groups.

She also launched an Inclusive Culture Program to educate all European colleagues. This includes features like a leadership coaching/mentor tool and an HR/Talent Acquisition initiative to embed equity in HR processes. In all of these cases, Alvine has used her strong communication skills and her authenticity to influence, inspire and execute meaningful projects that deliver positive outcomes.
