Amal Berry Fosters Culture of DEI at Ford Through Relationship Building
Amal Berry is the Senior Manager, Global Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Ford Motor Company. Her leadership specialty is cultivating relationships across all organizational levels, working with diverse communities and individuals. Amal has over 20 years of experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategizing on a regional and global basis. Amal is responsible for fostering an environment where all members of the Ford enterprise feel a sense of belonging grounded in respect, value, and Ford Truths. She is also a primary member of Maktoub Strategies, LLC, an executive services company providing DEI support and services to non-profits, school administrators, and other entities.
Recognized numerous times for her contributions in the D&I space, Amal most recently earned Crain’s 2019 Women in Leadership award. She was also featured in the 2019 University of Michigan Dearborn Legacy Magazine and the 2020 Automotive News for success in driving cultural change through D&I strategies. She is a driving force in developing employee resource groups, cultural competency training, leader engagement, and progress in the DEI space. Amal has served on many boards, including the American Arab Chamber of commerce.
