Beverly Stallings-Johnson Develops Multi-Year DEI Strategy at Wendy’s

Wendy’s Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer Beverly Stallings-Johnson understands that creating a workplace culture in which employees feel empowered to be their true, authentic selves requires partnership at all levels. Working closely with the Company’s senior leaders and Board of Directors to define Wendy’s DE&I goals and efforts to achieve them, she led the development of their multi-year strategy focused on education, training, recruitment, hiring, development, and retention. This included collaboration with Wendy’s Talent Acquisition team to expand recruiting outreach to educational institutions with underrepresented talent pools, updating interview and onboarding processes, and developing training to help foster an inclusive mindset. She has also been instrumental in the growth of the Company’s Employee Resource Groups, each sponsored by a senior leader and intended to build a welcoming and supportive environment for all.

Beverly also supports efforts to amplify all voices and drive meaningful change outside of Wendy’s. She is an inaugural member of the Women’s Foodservice Forum Advisory DEI Council, focused of heightening support for diverse members, and a board member of the Ohio Diversity Council, helping to govern and manage the strategy for the Council’s key goals and initiatives.
