Earlier this year, Denise Fields, Global Director, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging at TransUnion, rebranded the company’s DEI Office and inclusion initiatives to include belonging. The DEI Office became the DEIB Office, and Networking Resource Groups became Inclusion and Belonging Groups (IBGs) helping to ingrain belonging in DEIB strategy and programs. Denise also launched a new IBG supporting associates who identify as caregivers for children, seniors, and people with medical conditions, and she has helped promote conversations about mental health to normalize candid discussions about wellness.
Denise led the development and launch of Conscious Equity, an organization-wide learning opportunity to help associates identify the skills and tools needed to build an inclusive work environment. She created space for senior leaders to learn, ask questions, and better understand their role in fostering inclusion and continuous education across the organization, from mitigating bias in team dynamics to proactively acting as bias interrupters. Denise recognizes the diversity of TransUnion’s global community by ensuring enterprise DEIB strategy and programming complement local initiatives all while driving a holistic culture of inclusion and belonging for all associates.
