Levi Strauss & Co.’s Elizabeth A. Morrison Shapes DE&I Strategy Through Listening



Elizabeth A. Morrison is the Chief Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Officer at Levi Strauss & Co. At LS&Co., Elizabeth relies on a listening based approach to shape strategy in alignment with the company’s core values and business interests. She promotes continual listening through an annual inclusion survey, Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), feedback sessions with leadership, and more.


Over the past few years, Elizabeth and her team have advocated for employees and worked with leaders to drive authenticity, accountability, action, and transparency. For example, she partnered with executives to deliver global Diversity Action Plans for each business unit based on their current hiring, representation, promotion, retention, and inclusion status. She also launched a DE&I-based development program that honors the unique experiences and challenges of Black and Latinx talent and empowers individuals with tools, resources, and connections.


Elizabeth’s ability to connect with people of all beliefs and backgrounds, establish psychological safety during challenging conversations, and motivate those around her make her a highly effective leader.
