As part of Global Sourcing and Procurement, Jeanine Pedoto, Vice President, Supply Chain Sustainability at Prudential Financial, implemented company strategies to ensure opportunities for qualified suppliers regardless of size or ownership. She established partnerships and processes across the company to ensure procurement processes include consideration for diversity with sourcing, category strategies, and spend reporting. In 2022, Prudential increased our diverse spend goals to reflect renewed commitment to diversity. In addition, Prudential hosted the Business Opportunity Exchange in partnership with the NY NJ NMSDC welcoming an estimated 400 attendees representing diverse suppliers and diversity professionals from corporate partners.
Jeanine is responsible for Prudential’s Supplier Sustainability Program and oversight of the Centralized Supplier Governance team. She attributes her success to factors like senior leader support, established corporate policies and programs that ensure third parties are aligned with corporate commitments and have appropriate controls. The team has targets and metrics and publishes those results regularly, Jeanine is a strong collaborator who drives change domestically and internationally through strategic planning and problem-solving.
