Kim Adams Leverages DEI for Innovation at Papa Johns


Kim Adams is the VP, HR, Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion, Culture & Engagement at Papa Johns. She led her team in collaboration with the Communications function to implement new channels, so team members can be heard and feel included. Real Talks and Day of Understanding make it easier to engage in difficult dialogues. Kim utilizes the organization’s intranet, By The Slice, and Yammer as virtual gathering places to give team members a voice and reinforce company values. She also led the successful launch of an Executive Inclusion Council co-chaired by the CEO and Chief People & Diversity Officer.


Kim believes Papa Johns strategy to develop a culture of leaders who believe in diversity, inclusivity, and winning is crucial. To enable this priority, she works to evolve the team member experience through initiatives such as inclusive and value-added leadership development programs. Kim has demonstrated that a diverse workforce and inclusive culture produce greater innovation, leading Papa Johns to create more products that appeal to a broader spectrum of customers. A focus on DEI has also led more people to love the brand, especially millennials and multicultural consumers.
