Nicole Hughey is the Senior Vice President, Head of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at SiriusXM. She leads many successful initiatives, including the 12-month Pathways Program to place recent HBCU graduates in a full-time career with SiriusXM and internal programs like the series “Can We Talk?” comprised of quarterly workshops around DEI topics. She also leads company-wide mandatory training on unconscious bias and mitigating biases and strengthened Employee Resource Groups. The ERGs include Mixtape that champions diverse employee backgrounds, LGBTQIA+ Pride, Women, Veterans, and Disability.
To advance DEI in communities, Nicole also leads the corporate philanthropy strategy, including SiriusXM Cares, a $25 million donor-advised fund contributing to organizations that further social equity, education, hiring, and racial justice. This approach drives DEI in the wider community. She oversaw a large donation to the National Museum of African American History and Culture, leading to a collaboration on a live-taping award-winning podcast, “All Music is Black Music.” Nicole utilizes leadership skills, including collaboration, consistent messaging on DEI, equity conversations, and partnering with corporate leaders in various functions.
