Nikki Lewis Simon Ensures Open Paths to Leadership at Greenberg Traurig



Nikki Lewis Simon is a Senior Vice President, Shareholder, and the Chief Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Officer (DEI) at Greenberg Traurig. As such, Simon designs and guides strategic initiatives and programs to deepen firmwide diversity and inclusion efforts, enabling the firm to bring diverse lived experiences, viewpoints, and backgrounds to help address client challenges.


Simon helps create opportunities for professionals by focusing on being courageous, making room for everyone at the table, meeting people where they are, and sharing stories that inspire and empower. Furthermore, Simon uses her experience as a commercial litigator to create meaningful connections with clients to advance DEI in the legal industry. Among her many achievements, she was instrumental in implementing the global law firm’s participation in The Diversity Lab’s Mansfield Rule Certification Program.


Most recently, the firm achieved Mansfield Rule 6.0 Certified Plus status. That program measures structural changes and steps taken in the prior year to ensure paths to leadership are open and transparent to all qualified lawyers. Overall, the firm’s DEI program leverages its unique culture and global platform to highlight positive cultural contributions that add to shared experiences and organizational capabilities.
