Olivia Djibo is the Global Technology Diversity and Inclusion Manager at SLB Technology. She established a Women in Technology Conference with a unique format and intent, to inspire the organization’s talented technical women in the technology centers of SLB and inspire the next generation to choose technology careers. In addition, Olivia established ongoing training and education programs that promote cultural competency, diversity awareness, and inclusive practices that are critical to creating a more inclusive workplace.
Olivia developed a job shadowing program beginning in Houston, Texas, designed as a work-based learning experience for students from various socio-economic backgrounds. Inspired by an initiative in India, she established an inclusive recruitment process by designing a global technology-focused returnship program that welcomes talent from all backgrounds who have taken a break from employment to raise children, serve as a caregiver, complete military service, and so on. The program reconnects returners with the profession and improves skills to perform on the job via training and mentoring.
Overall SLB is leading the charge on establishing Inclusive best practices in their in their industry as seen with efforts to publish the first global Report on Women and Pay, to increase transparency and accountability for the gender pay gap.
