Paloma DeNardis is the Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at DICK’S Sporting Goods and leads through collaboration and active listening to achieve integration of DE&I within the business. In her role, she developed a DE&I rotational program that creates the opportunity for local store leaders to step into an immersive DE&I experience for three months, where they learn to become an inclusion practitioner while they work to implement DE&I in their home district.
Paloma also developed the Impact Teams program that creates cross-functional responsibility for DE&I across the organization. The Impact Teams program aims to create opportunities for more leaders to contribute and take ownership of DE&I. The cross-functional approach of Impact Teams has proven very successful in advancing DE&I in spaces such as supplier diversity, community investment and philanthropy, recruitment, development, training and teammate experience. One Impact Team developed the organization’s first supplier diversity framework and goal to grow relationships and expenditures with certified minority, women, LGBTQ+, veteran and disability-owned businesses to $300 million annually.
