As the Global Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer at ENGIE Group, Renata Spada has firstly launched the Fifty-Fifty Program to create gender balance in managerial roles in a group where 70% of its employees are men. She then designed a DEI global policy, that encompasses five dimensions: gender balance, abilities, origins, generations, and LGBTQ+.
Renata places emphasis on changing the corporate culture by engaging each employee in the DEI journey. She has partnered with DEI experts to co-develop coaching and training programs for all the organization. The “Wo+Men to Lead” program, for instance, mobilizes the top 300 ENGIE leaders and addresses gender-specific complexities for men and women.
Regularly sharing DEI best practices with a community of 450 Change Drivers worldwide, Renata consistently supports the business in creating a positive social impact. Some examples are: the project BECAS, aimed at supporting young female students in STEM careers in Perou and the Female Graduate Programs in Brazil and Saudi Arabia. Renata firmly believes in cultivating meaningful connections with people at all levels and challenges traditional systems to create a workplace where everyone can succeed.
