Santander’s Rosilyn Houston Gives Diverse People a Voice
Rosilyn Houston is the Chief Human Resources Officer of Santander US and has a proven track record of leading systemic change in the DEI space in support of employees. Recently, Rosilyn strengthened the organization by elevating the Head of DEI to the US Leadership Team, adding an important voice to the management team who now is involved in strategy and decision-making at the highest level. Rosilyn partners with the entire C-suite and the board to ensure that DEI metrics are met, and employees’ voices are heard through the company’s seven Employee Resources Groups, listening sessions and regular employee surveys. Adhering to her philosophy of the importance of connecting with organizations at the forefront of social progress, Rosilyn sits on the Executive Board for the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, among other non-profits.
Rosilyn’s efforts have contributed to Santander’s significant impact on its communities through initiatives like Santander’s “Inclusive Communities Plan,” an $11 billion commitment in loans, investments, and charitable contributions over five years which has surpassed its original goals;and “The Hispanic Promise,” a formal pledge which reinforces the commitment to hire, advance, and elevate members of the Hispanic community.
