Teedra Bernard is the Chief Talent and Diversity Officer at TransUnion and is proudest of how DEIB is embedded in the fabric of the company. She led the expansion of the DEIB office, which strives to foster a culture of inclusion and belonging across the enterprise. Teedra and her team are working toward better alignment of 10 Inclusion & Belonging Groups with the DEIB strategy. She initiated internal policy changes tying executive compensation in part to DEIB goals, helped formalize guidelines to support diverse candidate slates for all Director-level and above positions, and expanded diversity recruiting partnerships.
Teedra operates on a best practice of transparency and is intentionally increasing visibility for key stakeholders. She spearheads the publication of an annual Diversity Report which reports data for purposes of accountability. Teedra also stewarded an annual self-identification campaign to encourage associates to self-disclose personal information such as race, gender, and pronouns. She firmly believes advancing DEIB is a shared responsibility and collaborates across the global enterprise. She has helped multiple executives launch DEIB Councils within their respective business units. Teedra also collaborates with the Gender Equity Steering Committee to develop tailored DEIB programs for different global locations.
