NAVEX, the leader in integrated risk and compliance management software, today announced Cindy Raz has been named the company’s first Chief People Officer, reporting directly to CEO and president, Sean Thompson.
In her more than 10 years at NAVEX, Raz has served in progressively senior roles responsible for human resources and associated organizational development programs. Under her direction, NAVEX’s HR organization has expanded in both size and scope, implementing powerful programs that inspire change and a workplace culture that is rooted in the care and development of people.
Under Raz’s leadership, NAVEX has furthered its commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), including the creation of an LGBTQ+ Community Group, a DEI Racial Justice Task Team, a Women in Sales Group and the NAVEX Parents Group.
As Chief People Officer, Raz will continue to build on her successful track record and influence on NAVEX’s success. “For any organization to thrive and grow, it must consistently challenge its people framework,” said Raz. “At NAVEX we embrace this challenge, building more than a place for people to work, consistently evolving our culture so people can thrive in life. I could not be more honored to serve NAVEX in this new capacity.”
“Cindy has built our HR organization, and by extension our workplace culture, from the ground up. She brings the authenticity needed to make a real impact, creating meaningful change when necessary, and demonstrating how deeply she cares about our people,” said Thompson. “We are like-minded in the role a strong corporate culture plays in building and maintaining corporate excellence.”
Raz previously held HR roles at EthicsPoint and Waggener Edstrom. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Portland State University and is a Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SCP).
