Noël France Meets DE&I Needs of Global Teams at Avantor


Noël France, Vice President Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Avantor, leverages meaningful relationships and data storytelling to drive change. In her role, she has focused on strengthening the DE&I commitment by elevating the voices of employees and establishing policies and processes that interrupt and prevent bias. Her team has visited over 20 global organizational sites to connect directly with employees (including the frontline workforce) to hold face-to-face discussions on topics such as microaggressions and how to get involved in DE&I initiatives and Employee Resource Groups. She launched the DE&I Leader Tool Kit for leadership training and is introducing new policies and platforms to interrupt and address bias.


Developing and reporting meaningful metrics is one of the best practices that Noël employs to drive continuous improvement. Individualized metrics are embedded into leadership accountability measures to expand ownership for DE&I. Employee feedback about DE&I program value is regularly solicited. Noël uses curiosity and flexibility to support her global leadership. She strives to meet the specific needs of teams while maintaining the core principles of the DE&I strategy.
