In eight years Swroop Sahota has rapidly climbed the corporate ladder at Schering-Plough Corporation. Sahota's a founding member and officer of the company's Women's Network, which aims to aid the professional development and advancement of women. She's a part of the steering committee and chairs the membership subcommittee. Sahota mentors others, and has appeared on a panel discussing how senior leaders can balance their personal and professional lives.

Sahota joined the company as a director in quality control testing and has received repeated promotions and now serves as Vice-President, Global Quality Services, where she manages a diverse team of 130 employees. She contributed to the company's successful petition to dissolve the Consent Decree of Permanent Injunction relating to its compliance with good manufacturing practices.

Sahota's involved in the community. She spent six years as a part of the fund-raising committee for the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women initiatives, and was a co-chair of her company's internal Go Red campaign. Sahota also served as a keynote speaker at the 2007 Women & Small Business Conference at Kean University.

She earned her MBA from Rutgers and a Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of California.
