LARGO, MD –Kia Silver Hodge, the Acting Director of Diversity & Inclusion at Lockheed Martin Corporation, was recently named president of The Arc Prince George’s County board of directors. She has been an active board member since 2016 and with Lockheed Martin since 2015.
As the board chair, Silver Hodge’s duties will include championing The Arc Prince George’s County by advocating its mission to internal and external stakeholders as well as leading the organization’s event and fundraising planning processes.
“We’re very excited to have Kia as our new board chairperson,” said Robert Malone, the organization’s executive director. “Her leadership skills and business development acumen make her a valuable asset to The Arc.”

During her career, Silver Hodge has held leadership roles in Diversity & Inclusion, Talent Acquisition and Business Development at several other Fortune 500 companies including Freddie Mac, Monster Worldwide, Sallie Mae and Adecco. A proud military spouse and a lifelong resident of Maryland, she earned a B.A. in Journalism from Howard University, holds certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and also serves on the Advisory Board of the DC Metro Business Leadership Network.
In support of Silver Hodge’s new appointment is Lockheed Martin Corporation, a trailblazer in global security and advanced aerospace technologies whose core values are consistent with the Arc and include doing what’s right and performing with excellence.
A leader in advocacy, employment and community inclusion, The Arc of Prince George’s County is an organization whose 600 members include people with developmental disabilities, their families and friends, the professionals who work with them, and other concerned citizens.
In the last year alone, The Arc has provided information and referrals to over 1,350 people and case management services for 802 children and families, hosted 120 workshops and seminars for 3,303 people and engaged 532 individuals in recreational activities.
